Spanish in Community
In Spanish in the community, we worked on our Spanish as it was 75% of the requirement. We selected a theme and researched it as it was our final project to find out about current issues that affect the Spanish Community here in Florida. Additionally, we read about developments in Latin America and their political issues.
Comida y Conflicto
In Comida y Conflicto we discussed the many facets of how food has arised conflicts here in the US., and also in Latin American countries. We learned about Latin American history and how the US has been influenctial in creating the poltical order there as well. We also individually created projects that focused on a country and a food that has created conflict.
Relig/Polit Latin Am
This class focused on the various religious movements that were regionally focused and how they impacted the political climate at the time. Additionally, we researched concepts of certain religions that were unknown due to practices or customs being unknown to us.
Latin American Seminar 4935
For this class, we learned about domestic issues concerning environmental injustices. After grasping an understanding of problems here in the US., we viewed case studies in Latin America that had similar problems and are facing obstacles on many fronts.
